Deacon Gaurav Shroff, one of our CSI teachers and collaborators, (who will be ordained in June, please God!) has written a powerful and thought-provoking essay on The “Munus Regendi” of the Priest and the Vocation of the Laity and the Homiletic and Pastoral Review has it up online for your reading and formation pleasure. Here's a taste: "This brief survey of Magisterial teaching on the munus regendi underscores that the priesthood as a whole, but especially in its exercise of the office of governance, is exercised with the full flowering of the vocation of the laity in mind. The goal of the priesthood is a mature and well-formed laity that embraces its own vocation."
