Forming Intentional Disciples is a daylong seminar based on the Catherine of Siena Institute’s Making Disciples retreat and Sherry’s new book Forming Intentional Disciples. You will learn:
1. How intentional discipleship differs from and fosters Catholic identity and is the source of the spiritual life and foundation of effective pastoral ministry.
2. How discipleship makes catechesis a life-changing experience.
3. How to introduce post-modern people to Jesus and the Church.
4. How to recognize the pre-discipleship stages of spiritual growth, How to facilitate spiritual growth in the baptized and non-baptized.
5. Ways of sharing your own personal witness ad the "Great Story" of Jesus in gentle, intriguing, and non-threatening ways.
6. How parish based evangelization processes and other existing parish programs can help create a parish culture of discipleship.

Priests, deacons, evangelization teams, parish council members, teachers, catechists, RCIA teams, lay ecclesial ministers, and youth teams are encouraged to attend. This seminar is being used by diocesan and parish leaders as part of Catholics Come Home outreaches, in RCIA, evangelization, young adult and campus ministry, gifts and vocational discernment, and in nearly any kind of ministry situation imaginable.
FREE for all employees and volunteers in the Catholic Diocese of Lansing.
