God is calling you to a unique purpose in life, a work of love that only you can do.  Discern your spiritual gifts!  Discern your call!  What is your vocation?  Come and begin to discover this work!  you have received gifts, through Baptism and Confirmation, for the ways God intends his love to reach others through you.  The Called & Gifted Workshop is a two-day live presentation which will include Church teaching on the laity and lay apostleship; the nature of spiritual gifts, call and vocation; and how to undertake the process of discernment.

Taught by:

frseanwenger_web.jpgFr. Sean Wenger, CC, was ordained a priest in 1995, and is a member of the Companions of the Cross, a new Society of Apostolic life with a charism for fraternal life and evangelization. He has a Master of Divinity from St. Augustine’s Seminary in Toronto, Ontario, and is currently studying for a Doctor of Ministry through the Catholic University of America.  Before joining the Companions of the Cross he spent two years traveling with NET (The National Evangelization Teams) evangelizing youth across the country.  As a priest, Fr. Sean has worked in his community forming seminarians for parish ministry. His ministry has taken him to Ottawa, Ontario, Halifax, Nova Scotia, where he was pastor of St. Thomas Aquinas parish, and to Houston, Texas, where he was pastor of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, a bilingual parish with a school.  While in Houston, Fr. Sean was a member of the Catherine of Siena Institute’s Houston Team, facilitating Called and Gifted workshops throughout the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston.  Prior to joining the staff at the Catherine of Siena Institute, Fr. Sean was as a Regional Coordinator of Evangelization in the Archdiocese of Detroit, where he formed pastors and lay ministers for the work of the New Evangelization.   Fr. Sean has a passion for evangelization (the call to conversion), discipleship (a full, conscious, personal decision to follow Jesus as Lord) and mission (every baptized Catholic living out their personal vocation in the power of the Holy Spirit)
