If Christian faith flowers only in the presence of the kerygma, what does that mean for our pastoral practice? How is our generation to believe without someone who proclaims the kerygma?
–Forming Intentional Disciples, pg. 203
The nickname for MD 201 is "Kerygma Boot Camp". 201 focuses on how to effectively communicate the Great Story of Jesus (i.e., kerygma). Leaders will have the opportunity to hear the kerygma for themselves, in this time and place. They will also explore the importance of integrating the regular proclamation of the kerygma into the life of the parish/diocese so that everyone has the opportunity to respond to Jesus' invitation to follow him in the midst of his Church.
We will also cover how to share it with others
